Behind Decor Maine

Proudly women-founded and led, meet the team that works alongside our talented contributors to bring every issue of Decor Maine to life.

Editorial Team

Susan Grisanti

Publisher & Editorial Director

Susan loves old, beautiful buildings—and has brought three nineteenth century buildings back to their former glory—most recently restoring an 1895 building on Munjoy Street. Susan brings over fifteen years of experience in the publishing world to her newest venture, Decor Maine. Her proudest, most rewarding position by far however, is as mother to her three children, Cara, Casey, and Jack.

Miranda Valentine

Publisher

Currently renovating a cottage on the coast of Maine, Miranda has returned her focus to her love of living beautifully after a 15-year corporate detour leading strategy for some of the world’s largest brands. Unabashedly obsessed with her French Bulldog Penelope and vintage cookbooks, she has never, ever, met a French gilt mirror she didn’t love.

Kendra McDonald

Art Director

When she’s not focused on the design direction for the upcoming issue of Decor Maine, you can find Kendra kicking up dust on the trails. She studied graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where she refined her skills in visual storytelling. Now based in Portland, she also spends time in the Southern California desert, where the contrasting landscapes and architecture provide endless inspiration for her work.

Heather O'Day

Managing Editor

When she’s not caring for her cottage garden, Heather keeps tabs on all of the exciting projects in development at Decor Maine. A graduate of Endicott College with a master’s in business administration, she writes about furnishings, food, and flowers from the ranch she shares with her husband and rescue pup in rural Maine.

Briana Hadorn

Senior Production Manager

Exploring the world and learning from it with her husband and toddler fuels Briana’s spontaneous lifestyle. Her organized and intentional work, however, gives her balance. With an extensive background in art and social services, she combines her love of creative expression with her desire to help others turn beautiful ideas into realities.
