How We Research

Every guide on MyMomToken follows the same research process: primary source verification, hands-on product testing, and regular content reviews. Here is exactly how we work.

Where do our facts come from?

We start with primary sources. For any claim about a financial product, we go to the company directly: their official website, terms of service, fee schedules, SEC filings, or regulatory disclosures. For industry statistics, we cite the original research from organizations like the FDIC, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Reserve, or the company that conducted the study.

We do not treat other blogs, aggregators, or news summaries as primary sources. If we cannot verify a claim against an official source, we do not include it.

How do we test products?

When we review a fintech product, we use it. This means signing up for accounts, testing the interface, checking fee structures against what was advertised, and documenting the actual user experience. Our product testing follows a consistent framework:

How do we keep content current?

Financial products change constantly. Fees increase, features are added or removed, and new competitors enter the market. Every article on MyMomToken displays a last reviewed date. We prioritize updates based on how frequently the product category changes and how significant the changes are.

If you notice information that appears outdated, email us at [email protected]. We review every correction report and update the article within 48 hours if the information has changed.

How do we handle affiliate relationships?

Some articles contain affiliate links to financial products. When you apply for a product through these links, we may earn a commission. This is how we fund our research.

Affiliate relationships never influence our rankings, ratings, or recommendations. Products without affiliate programs receive the same coverage as products with them. We clearly disclose affiliate relationships on every page that contains them.

What we will never do
